Off-Campus Accounts Receivable Supervisor

This is not your average accounting role. You'll be a strategic partner, working hand-in-hand with campus departments to streamline invoicing and ensure on-time customer payments on-time. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor and train student employees, shaping the next generation of financial professionals.

What you'll do in this position: 

 

Supervise the creation and distribution of invoices, monthly statements, and departmental aging reports.

Ensure that new vendor contracts are signed and documented.

Conduct monthly account reconciliations and make necessary corrections discovered during the reconciliation process.

Document and track the accounting for complex university legal recovery accounts.

Supervise, train, and mentor two to three part-time student employees.

Establish and maintain excellent customer relations with over 50 university departments to ensure proper invoicing and timely collection of receivables.

Conduct regular testing of system upgrades to ensure proper functionality.

Play a key role in the configuration and implementation of the university's new ERP System (Workday Finance).

 

What qualifies you for this role:

 

Required (Level 51)

 

A firm commitment to the mission of BYU. 

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.

Two or more years of related professional experience.

OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Required (Level 52)

 

A firm commitment to the mission of BYU. 

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.

Three more years of related professional experience.

OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Preferred

 

Master's degree in accounting or finance.

Three years of experience directly related to the manage ment, accounting, and collection of accounts receivable.

Experience navigating, testing, and implementing an ERP system.

Experience training and supervising other employees.

Approximate Starting Salary: 

 

Level 51: $55,000 to $71,500 (DOQ)

 

Level 52: $61,500 to $80,000 (DOQ)
