Civil Field Engineer (hybrid)

Pueblo, CO

System One is currently seeking a Civil Field Engineer (hybrid) on a 12 month contract position for 2 solar projects located near Pueblo, CO.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting 2 solar projects within the South Colorado region near Pueblo, CO.

• Will be in the field for significant amounts of time, working with project team enforcing our specifications with the EPC contractor.

• Work closely with project field inspectors and the field inspectors and work to report any NCRs to this resource. If the field inspector sees something, they will consult with a field engineer and the field engineer will look a things that are not compliant with the specifications or something that's potentially problematic as the owner of these facilities.

• Will be in charge of looking at drawings/specifications and determine what requires action/correction on the EPC contractor side.

• Work with lead civil engineer on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.

• Provide information to the contractors or field construction teams, as they often require information such as specifications and drawings.

• Will have responsibility to understand and manage the scope of the contract.

  Civil Engineer Requirements:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering from and ABET accredited school

• Familiarity with ProjectWise and Microsoft Office

• Bluebeam would be preferred as it would be helpful to review EPC contractors' drawings

• SAP is a plus

• 2-3 years of renewable generation project experience

• 5-7 years civil engineering experience

• Willing/able to travel and stay at site for approximately 3 days per week.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with analytical (thinking) skills to resolve answering questions, troubleshooting design conflicts, etc

• Organizational skills

• Knowledge of/Familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.

  Duration: 12 months

  Location: Pueblo, CO area

  Pay Rate: $60-65/hr

  PD paid for non-local candidates

  This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days out in the field and 2 days remote
