As an Associate Software Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
Participate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software systems.
• Understand hardware and software interactions and collaborate with Hardware Engineers.
• Prepare and maintain designs and test documentation.
• Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.
This job might be for you if:
• You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• You typically 2+ years' experience in one or more of the following areas: -- Embedded systems firmware development including: - Real-time firmware design - C and assembly languages -- Graphical User Interface applications in Windows environments including: - Object oriented design - Object oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java) -- Embedded Linux systems development including: - C, C++, Python - Other scripting languages
• You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• You have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• You have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

• Industrial controls
• 3-phase electric power systems
• Modern communications protocols
• Digital and analog circuitry
• Digital communications and signal processing

Pay Data Range:
We anticipate filling this position as an Associate Software Engineer $65,000 - $95,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
