The Opportunity:
As a Fiscal Specialist 1 in the School of Design and Construction (SDC), you will work independently while under the general supervision of the Administrative Manager. You will exercise independent judgment and decision-making authority, review current procedures, problem-solve, and make recommendations to improve service, procedures, communication, and accuracy.
You will perform a variety of fiscal support functions within the SDC, those responsibilities will encompass procurement, travel coordination, managing temporary hourly personnel appointments, and providing support for both the school and its programs, which include, four independently accredited bachelor programs (Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture), three master programs (Architecture, Energy Conscious Construction, and Interior Design), four minor programs (Architecture, Construction Management, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture), and one certificate program (Energy Conscious Construction).

Required Qualifications:
• Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Experience with fiscal documents and financial records.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Two years of customer service/providing reception at a busy office.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WSU policies, procedures, and software.

Monthly Salary: $3,477 to $4,632 (Range 40 Step A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/wac/default.aspx?cite=357-28.
