As a lead product engineer, you will be a core member of SEL's data visualization and analysis software team in R&D. Our team is focused on helping power system grid operators and engineers reliably operate the changing power system with situational awareness and real-time analytics.

As a Lead Product Engineer, you will:

• Develop relationships with clients to help them use SEL software to solve problems.
• Train and support clients on SEL software products and technologies.
• Create and deliver software demonstrations.
• Support SEL internal and external sales partners with technical proposals and projects.
• Influence software product direction and roadmap.
• Specify software capability and requirements.
• Validate and test software releases.
• Participate in writing technical papers, application guides, and instruction manuals.
• Attend industry technical meetings and conferences.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study
• Experience or interest in software and electric power systems
• Strong writing, technical documentation, speaking and presentation skills
• Willing to travel up to 25%
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EMS, ADMS, WAMS systems within utility environment
• Experience with enterprise software implementation, support, or sales

Pay Range Data We anticipate filling this position as a Lead Product Engineer $101,000 - $124,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
