We are seeking an Engineer Sr Analyst – Middleware and Database Technologies, who has a passion for Infrastructure with knowledge of Middleware, Database and Data-Warehouse, data center automations and cloud architecture environments. Ideal candidate will be working on a variety of Enterprise Platform as a Service, Platform as Code engineering activities including hardware procurement, hardware cost estimations, forecasting, cloud adoption and cloud migrations. The role is an important technology-oriented hire of experienced analyst focusing on Finance Banking Solutions and Implementation in the area of Accounting and General Ledger domain.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Middleware and Data Warehouse/ETL systems. • Create cloud migration strategies, defining delivery architecture, creating migration plans, designing orchestration plans

• Collaborate with technology and development teams to review hardware capacity needs.

• Drive hardware procurement process keeping an eye on costs.

• Save costs by identifying and decommissioning obsolete and redundant hardware.

• Provide hardware and software budget forecasting to senior management by collaborating with application managers. Use troubleshooting skills and work closely with operations, support, and engineering to ensure successful hardware procurement.

• Assist in creating and executing cloud migration run books.

• Determine source on premise (Physical, Virtual) and target workloads.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• Partner with business and development teams to identify engineering requirements and assist in defining application and system requirements and processes and maintain engineering relationships with the end user/client

• Ensure requirements/tasks from technology departments and/or end users are communicated to stakeholders

• Exhibit in-depth understanding of engineering concepts and principles

Qualifications:

• 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in Engineering, Database, Cloud and DevOps technologies

• Experience with container orchestration framework such as Kubernetes, Docker Experience supporting Linux systems hosted in a cloud environment (i.e. EC2, EKS, Teraform, Openshift, ElasticCache, and S3, to name a few).

• Experience with CI/CD products.

• Understand and assist in implementing monitoring in cloud and of the PaaS/IaaS

• Strong understanding of IT Risk and IS security fundamentals in cloud. • Understanding of Agile and Scrum fundamentals.

• A strong desire to understand complex systems and how to troubleshoot and make them highly available. • Experience planning and executing datacenter consolidations, relocation, migration, or virtualization projects.

• Ability to perform Infrastructure discovery and assessments working with Infrastructure teams.

• In-depth knowledge of fundamental operations of server, storage and network functions. • Experience with Asset Management tools/processes.

• Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows administration.

• Exposure to Cloud paradigm preferably AWS.

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.

• Experience with the use of Agile methodologies, such Scrum and Kanban, to manage projects.

• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
