Emerson Graduate Trainee Engineer in PUNE, India

Job Summary:

As a software engineer working for new product development you will be responsible for a broad range of engineering tasks. Our mission is to deliver to the market highly reliable products for which Emerson is well known and our customers demand. In support of that mission you will be responsible for test case planning, implementation, debugging and execution that verify embedded firmware functionality. Design verification testing is critical to achieving the high-level of firmware quality demanded by customers.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Hands on experience with front-end languages (e.g. HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JSON, CSS, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of version control (e.g. Git Version Control)

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, analysis, and design

  • Experience with the complete software development life cycle and QA processes in an Agile environment

  • Excellent software development skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • The ability to contribute in a team environment

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)

  • Hands on experience with programming languages (e.g. C++, C#, Python, Java, etc.)

  • Mobile Development Experience (iOS, Android, UWP)

  • Xamarin/Xamarin.Forms

  • Experience with NoSQL Databases

  • Experience with HART and Foundation Fieldbus technologies

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor of Science Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Equivalent Engineering with a focus on programming

  • Prior embedded test and development experience preferred
