Citigroup IT Quality Tech Lead Analyst in Pune, India

The IT Quality Sr Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

Responsibilities:

  • Summary: We are seeking an accomplished Quality Engineering (QE) professional with a proven track record in technical expertise and team leadership. As a VP for automation, you will guide multiple scrum teams, fostering best practices in quality assurance while actively contributing to code development, automation frameworks, and the CI/CD pipeline. Your expertise in UI and API automation, Java, Agile methodologies, DevOps, and cloud technologies will be crucial in driving quality improvements across our products and services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a mentor and architect, providing hands-on guidance to ensure scrum teams adopt and implement quality assurance best practices.

  • Automation Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks using Java and relevant tools to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, enhancing rapid feedback mechanisms and efficient release cycles.

  • Quality Advocacy: Promote quality principles throughout the development lifecycle, including participating in code reviews, requirements analysis, and risk assessments.

  • Problem Solving: Analyze complex quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in collaboration with development teams.

  • Strategic Planning: Translate business requirements into detailed technical design specifications for automation solutions, aligning with project objectives.

  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analysis skills to interpret test results, identify trends, and drive quality improvements based on actionable insights.

  • Tool Proficiency: Maintain and enhance expertise in industry-leading QE tools and technologies to continually improve testing capabilities.

Bonus Qualifications:

Experience in performance and load testing. Knowledge of security testing practices. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare. Familiarity with AI/ML techniques as they apply to software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

Experience: At least 18 years in Quality Engineering with significant experience in UI and API automation.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Java, with substantial experience in automation frameworks and testing libraries.

Automation Tools: Extensive experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium and API testing tools like RestAssured or Postman.

Agile Expertise: Profound understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in software development processes.

DevOps Skills: Solid experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).

Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
