Red Hat Senior Software Engineer in Pune, India
About the Job:
Red Hat’s Digital Experience Platform department is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join us in Pune, this team has a number of applications that share common CI/CD tools and platforms. This role is focused on supporting that infrastructure and working with development teams that depend on these shared tools and systems. Our goal is to ensure we are empowering the developers to maximize their performance while also working towards lowering our operational footprint as much as possible.
What will you do?
Respond to and mitigate infrastructure failures or deployment issues
Empower dev teams to self manage through transparent tooling and training
Support local dev environments standardization and train on best practices
Participate in IT conversations about upcoming and ongoing changes that may impact our CI/CD platform
Build out new pipeline automations
Add tests and validations to the deployment process
What will you bring:
4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
3+ years of experience in Docker or Podman
Strong familiarity with RHEL
Strong familiarity with CI/CD concepts
Familiarity with Openshift 3 / 4 or Kubernetes
Comfortable engaging developers to support daily challenges
Following are considered as plus:
Familiarity with Drupal/PHP a plus
Familiarity with Gitlab CI a plus
Familiarity with Puppet / Ansible a plus
Jenkins pipelines experience a plus
