Title and Summary
Software Engineer II (Performance Engineering, Dynatrace, Splunk, Jmeter, Java)
The Performance Engineering team is involved with the Mastercard Transaction Streams Platform where cutting-edge solutions are being delivered for the Next Generation of Core Payment Products for Mastercard. These cutting-edge solutions are built using Event Driven Applications, Cloud Native principles and in a Scaled Agile Framework. The Core Payments of MasterCard involves the Authorization, Clearing, Debit and other major functionalities for MasterCard
The Role:
Good Understanding of APM tools such as Dynatrace and Log Monitoring tools like Splunk
Hands-on experience with identifying and executing Performance test scenarios, preparing test scripts & carrying out test execution using performance testing tool like JMeter, Load Runner, Silk Performer.
Knowledge of profiling tools to identify bottlenecks in CPU, Memory, Network, etc.
Knowledge and understanding of at least one database such as Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL etc.
Experience in performing simulation or lab experimentation to analyze product’s performance.
Exposure to Cloud, docker/container-based technologies.
Experience with supporting a multi-tenanted hosting infrastructure with hundreds of customers
Scripting and other automation techniques
Should have experience in SQL query writing (Complex Queries, Joins, Analytical Functions)
Good exposure to Performance Tuning
Handle coordination between teams based in various locations
All About You:
• Passionate about technology with Full Stack Developer skills/Performance Engineer
• In depth knowledge on performance engineering and tuning
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot. Experience working on Event Driven Architecture would be an advantage.
• Experience in Online / Real Time Systems development
• Experience in PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and Digital Native Architecture is desirable
• Strong Communicator
• Quick grasping and learning abilities
• Technical mentoring skills
• Maintain and present project related metrics reporting for management review
• Handle coordination between teams based in various locations
