Position Summary

As a Senior Visualization Engineer at Huron, you must have knowledge of building, maintaining, and scaling business intelligence solutions. You must be familiar with scalable system implementations for business intelligence. The Visualization Engineer must be able to demonstrate innovative approaches to complex problems which deliver industry-leading experiences for business stakeholders. We are looking for those with the ability to quickly get up to speed with technologies they may not be familiar with.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a Senior Data Visualization Engineer , you are responsible for design and implementation of the solutions that enable our clients and business partners taking efficient decisions with ease.

  • Able to design, implement and deploy reports, dashboards, data models and access rules for end users.

  • Able to create a structured storyboard / presentation from discussions, white-boarding, workshops

  • Utilize interactive drilldowns, movements, and highlights to add layers of insight, and engage users to explore data

  • Utilize analytics to explore data, and identify key trends and insights from multi-faceted and high-dimensional data, and work with data engineers to create diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights

  • Rapidly iterate, prototype, and implement visualizations that meet client visualization needs, considering composition, color, texture, and optimizing the depth and information density for the target user

  • Expert in Data Visualization Technologies such as AWS QuickSight , Tableau or Power BI which involves data discovery, dashboard prototyping, productionize large scale visual analytics platform implementation, performance tuning and optimization.

  • Work in tandem with Data engineers, Product Owners and other stakeholders to develop and execute necessary processes and controls around the flow of data to ensure dependability

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud tools and technologies (such as Athena, Redshift or Snowflake, Azure DW, BigQuery)

  • Solid understanding of Visualization engineer roles and responsibilities and Visual Best Practices .

  • Good Experience with AWS QuickSight (preferred) or with one or more of the other Data Visualization tools (QuickSight, Power BI or Tableau)

  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to learn quickly

  • SQL skills would be mandatory, Python would be good to have

  • Familiarity with architectural patterns for data-intensive solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Display sound problem-solving abilities in the face of challenges

  • Must be a hands-on individual who would also be experienced in leading the Visual team

  • Preferred to have experience with Agile Methodologies .

  • Possess excellent Critical thinking , interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Able to manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 6 or more years of experience

  • BE or BTech, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
