Emerson Strategic Marketing Program Manager in PUNE, India

Job Summary

The Strategic Marketing Program Manager will be responsible for managing and driving excellence for both the internal and external marketing projects of Emerson’s Isolation Valves business unit. This role will collaborate with sales & marketing colleagues, business leaders, product management, SMEs and operations teams across Emerson’s global matrix organization. Strong project managements skills are essential to engage these teams to deliver projects that enhance the customer experience of Emerson’s customers, partners and employees.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  1. Marketing Program Management
  • Owns the business unit’s global sales portal, collaborating with product and sales teams to ensure a complete, current, and readily accessible catalog of sales tools.

  • Develops functionality for the business unit’s online properties that deliver a best-in-class user experience for Emerson’s customers, partners, and employees.

  • Owns the user experience to proactively drive improvements, solicit and action user feedback, and ensure seamless access and navigation.

  • Coordinates with product, sales, and web teams to plan and execute the business unit’s search engine optimization program, manage projects with MyEmerson, Emerson.com and other DCX and Marcom initiatives within the BU.

  • Manages the programmatic improvement of the business unit’s website presence including the content, connectivity, and findability of product, application, and industry pages.

  • Owns the sales-marketing connection to qualify, action and quantify the valve of marketing generated leads to evaluate and report on the ROI of marketing programs.

  • Define and deliver programs that engage and grow the customer base, ensuring that marketing efforts resonate with the target audience.

  • Utilize modern marketing technologies and marketing platforms to streamline processes and enhance campaign effectiveness.

  1. Program Reporting
  • Develop and report on the status of marketing programs, including updates, risks, schedules, ROI, and priorities.

  • Develop and report consolidated financial data for GHG emissions, product program exhibits, and NPD program exhibits by collecting and aggregating information from various SBUs.

  • Work with Product Material Compliance team and aggregate actions for following up with SBU engineering and product teams.

  1. New product development Adoption
  • Drive adoption of the NPD process further into the product programs through maintaining a Gate schedule for upcoming programs, preserving Gate summaries for later reference, and working with program teams to support their process needs.

  • Provide regular updates on status of various NPD projects

  1. Project Management
  • Scope and Requirements Gathering: Leads scope reviews to understand the real need for the marketing project, using technical and business knowledge to assess value, impact, and complexity. Gathers, analyzes, and clarifies customer requirements, working with technical teams to gauge complexity. Standardize requirements gathering and deliverables matrix based on the type of the program.

  • Stakeholder Management: Acts as a liaison, managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth execution of marketing programs. Communicates decisions, priorities, changes, and negotiates solutions, schedule, and secures buy-in and commitment to deliverables.

  • Project Planning and Leadership: Creates an overall plan for the project, leads planning sessions, and facilitates the prioritization of business-critical requirements. Plans resource requirements to meet the budget provided by the project sponsor.

  • Scope, Priority and Risk Management: Decides on handling scope creeps, analyzes risks, and priorities and mitigates project circumstances based on impact assessments. Ensures all Marketing programs are linked to strategic initiatives and campaigns for accurate ROI tracking.

Project Closeout and monitoring Activities: Performs project closeout and monitoring activities, including documenting lessons learned and highlighting key successes and challenges and tracking ROI. Facilitates marketing review meetings to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Supports strategic marketing initiatives, programs and projects (Isolation Valves) on execution and implementation.

  • Develops program objectives and utilize tracking mechanisms to ensure the results of work are measurable.

  • Develops and implements complex scenario analysis, change management and planning of contingencies (business continuity).

  • Manages multifunctional teams to ensure that project objectives are met.

  • Joins and contributes in strategic planning activities of the marketing team and ensures alignment of team action plans and initiatives with Final Control marketing strategic vision, objectives, and strategies.

  • Implements and monitors action plans and initiatives and drives compliance to identified/agreed measures and targets.

  • Participate in functional reviews and priority planning.

  • Supports overall business direction and long-term strategy.

  • Participates in goals-roll down processes; proposes activities and sets quarterly and yearly directions for the teams.

  • Participates in sustaining and growing business partnerships with Isolation Valves

  • Conducts regular meetings to communicate study/project findings and milestones with the stakeholders, Business Units and vendors.

Job Related Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably in an industrial or technology sector.

  • Proven experience in effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and execute strategic programs.

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to manipulate data, derive insights and take actions that deliver measurable results.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to navigate and interact with stakeholders at all levels in a complex, global, matrix organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment within a complex global organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence experienced leaders in many different functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects with multiple stakeholders.

  • Marketing experience is preferred.
