Borough of Punxsutawney Lifeguards in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania
SPLASH (Save Punxsy's Local Area Swimming Hole) is seeking Lifeguards for the George C. Brown Community Pool.

The pool season will be June 1 - August 18.
Responsibilities for Lifeguard
- Opening and closing the pool during scheduled hours.
- Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the water from lifeguard chair.
- Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
- Able to act quickly and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency
- Present professional appearance (always wearing red swimsuit with whistle) and attitude, and maintain a high standard of customer service
- Performing custodial duties in maintaining a clean and safe facility including but not limited to bathrooms and changing rooms, trash cleanup inside and outside the facility and vacuum pools.
- Perform attached checklist daily
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Pool Manager
- Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
- Able to follow routine verbal and written instructions
Qualifications for Lifeguard
- Current Lifesaving Certification.
- Ability to work on weekends and evenings
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Highly skilled in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
- Strong knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedure
- Ability to accurately prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must have ACT 51 & 131 Clearances.

- There is a ZERO tolerance for bullying by patrons and staff.
