Summary You will serve as a OPSEC SECURITY SPECIALIST and a member of the Marine Corps OPSEC Support Team (MOST), at the MARINE CORPS INFORMATION OPERATIONS CENTER (MCIOC), MARINE CORPS INFORMATION COMMAND (MCIC) MARINE FORCES COMMAND (MARFORCOM). Responsibilities Review Operations Security (OPSEC) programs that are designed to meet operational needs by mitigating risks associated with specific vulnerabilities in order to deny adversaries critical information and observable indicators. Recommend deviation from routine practices to confuse or deter adversarial collectors and reduce vulnerabilities to existing hostile intelligence, terrorist, and criminal threats against personnel, information and other critical assets. Conduct risk analysis and vulnerability assessments in accordance with the intelligence threat analysis to determine appropriate preventive and active protective measures. Provide subject matter expertise to support the application of analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of service-specific Operations Security (OPSEC) training curriculum. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: The Conduct of OPSEC assessments and surveys, documenting findings, preparing/briefing results and making recommendations regarding units and/or installations OPSEC orders, policies, and programs. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
