Job Title: Equipment Technician
Job Description
Repair and maintain production equipment in a timely manner
Perform complex troubleshooting of electrical, controls, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic schematics and systems
Dismantle, move, assemble, install, and repair all types of conventional and automatic machine tools
Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, operating and repair manuals, and verbal instructions
Implement upgrades and changes to existing equipment with minimal support
Develop manufacturing sketches of equipment and fixtures
Perform diagnostics via computer terminal
Set up and operate conventional machine tools and fabrication machinery
Perform minor rebuilding projects on major machine tools and equipment
Interface with and support manufacturing, controls, and quality engineering
Orient, train, assign, and check the work of lower grade technicians and operators
Support and share knowledge with other technicians
Perform routine and repetitive production activities, such as assembling and post-processing of inflators
Essential Skills
Proficiency in hydraulics, maintenance, pneumatics, conveyor maintenance, troubleshooting, cylinders, motors, presses, and pneumatics
Ability to dismantle, install, upgrade, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot a variety of complex equipment
Expertise in handling low and high voltage equipment and using test equipment like voltmeters and amp meters
Proficiency with shop tools and fabricating equipment
Capability to troubleshoot and fix pneumatics, servo drives, leak tests, vacuum tools, sensors, presses, and hydraulics
Knowledge of controls and PLCs such as Siemens
Shifts
1st shift: 6 am - 2:30 pm
2nd shift: 2 pm - 10:30 pm (10% differential)
3rd shift: 10 pm - 6:30 am (15% differential)
