Job Description:

We’re looking for a Data Operations Analyst to join our Information Systems team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to provide support for the different data integrator applications, which provide data to the different functional and downstream systems of the Canadian Segment. This role conducts troubleshooting on production incidents, analyzes root cause, and recommends fixes to the Development Squad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responding to and addressing batch failures, determining root cause

• Reporting details of the failures and subsequent actions

• Engaging other teams as required

• Escalating to secondary on-call resource when necessary

• Proper handover to onshore support daily

• Recommend ways to optimize the performance and make improvements to batch processing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.

• At least five years of relevant experience

• Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation)

• Amenability to work on morning schedule with flexibility to where required

• Experience in supporting data movement using technologies and tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, SQL Server Integration Services, CAWLA

• Has the ability to analyze the impact of an incident and communicate to the different teams

• Familiarity with Cloud-based technologies, such as PCF and/or Azure SQL Server PaaS

• Working knowledge in data warehousing, including data mapping and transformations

• Experience in SQL Programming, analyzing complex queries, tables, view, and procedures

• Clear, concise, tactful communication skills
