Summary: As a Hatchery Technician 2, you will coordinate, and complete all hatchery activities to ensure maximum quality and productivity. Having a strong working knowledge of hatchery operations, you will independently complete routine duties, recommend improvements to current operation, assist in all departments, and collaborate with all operations to meet company, division, and location goals. Finally, you will use your hatchery knowledge to assist in training new team members. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations Ensure compliance with all operational SOPs to ensure optimal husbandry conditions are achieved in all areas of the hatchery: Broodstock, spawning, , algae, larvae, single seed, and setting. Follow and verify all sanitation SOPs completed to ensure the highest level of biosecurity and cleanliness. Assist in all departments and aspects of hatchery operations Sanitation, upkeep, and maintenance Identify, communicate, and correct any discrepancies needed. Record, update, and verify that all activities are reported on proper forms. Assist and perform maintenance as required. Hatchery Operation and Equipment Tank Operations: Drain, clean, and fill using proper procedures. Ensure all required supplies are on hand for operations. Using proper equipment to collect and record required data: Microscope, Fluorometer, Calculators, Scales, Beakers, and Etc. What You Bring to Pacific Seafood: Required: Valid Driver's License Ability to work Daytime, Evenings, Swing Shifts, Weekends and Holidays. Experience in Shellfish or Finfish Hatchery operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience supervising teams Preferred: Degree from an accredited college or university in marine, aquaculture, or agricultural science. 2+ years' experience in related field. Experience operating forklifts or other similar equipment. Salary Range:$22.50 - 24.00 per hour, depending on Experience Total Compensation: At Pacific Seafood, your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
