Manure is pumped from the manure source to the field through a hose to an applicator that directly injects the manure into the ground to be used as fertilizer. Pumps, tractors, and hose are being used to do this job. Monitoring pig health while pumping and agitating manure. Workers must apply grease to equipment and wash and disinfect equipment frequently to avoid disease, operate tractors to nagitate, check and monitor hoses for leaks or issues, run pumps, move hoses and equipment to next jobs, fuel, and maintenancem equipment. The job requires working around livestock and the strong smell of manure.
