The EMEIA organisation is looking for a Logistics Operations & Procurement Specialist who will be supporting initiatives related to all Logistics, Transportation and Warehouse Management activities in EMEIA.

Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Head of Logistics Operations & Procurement EMEIA, this role is all about driving change and making an impact. You'll be the go-to expert, helping to shape and execute strategic plans that align our Transportation (Ocean Freight, Air, Road haulage), Warehouse, and Procurement processes with the future of our business. Principle Responsibilities

Operations:

  • Oversee logistics performance across the EMEIA region, focusing on cost savings and achieving KPIs.

  • Support and implement initiatives to reduce logistics costs while maintaining high service levels.

  • Drive the implementation of the "Octopus" strategy, setting high standards in logistics, transportation, and warehousing.

  • Contribute to logistics optimization through automation, digitalization, and lean methodologies.

  • Coordinate projects with logistics partners and support the integration of new acquisitions into the logistics framework.

    Procurement:

  • Support logistics procurement activities and contract management across EMEIA, including transportation and packaging.

  • Identify, evaluate, and select logistics service providers, such as carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse operators. Assist in negotiating contracts to secure cost-effective and high-quality logistics services.

  • Conduct rate analysis of logistics services to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Collaborate with regional logistics managers and procurement stakeholders to forge strategic partnerships that align with and support shared objectives.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of logistics service providers against KPIs and contractual obligations. Foster strong relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement, address issues promptly, and enhance service delivery and innovation.

    Educational Attainment and Professional Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience in logistics operations and procurement (including contract management), 3PL, Sea and road transport.

  • Good communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in an international environment.

  • Willingness to learn and support various logistics and procurement tasks.

  • Hands on experience of ERP’s, procurement software, Microsoft Office and preferably PowerBI.

    Interpersonal and Communication Skills

  • Able to multi-task; likes to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment

  • Great people skills, with an ability to collaborate with a dynamic team and international partners

  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment aligning to business ethics.

  • Analytical skills and proficient in computer literacy.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets.

    As our common business language, fluency in spoken and written English is required (additional language skills are highly advantageous). An openness to flexibility and willingness to travel is required, as this role will involve elements of travel within the EMEIA region.
