Job Description

Our Human Health Digital Data and Analytics (HHDDA) team is innovating how we understand our patients and their needs. Working cross functionally we are inventing new ways of engaging, interacting with our customers and patients leveraging digital, data and analytics and measuring the impact.

The Executive Director, Head of Oncology Global Commercial Pipeline Analytics, HHDDA will be responsible for developing and delivering data and analytics, generating strategic insights, and proactively addressing senior management's business questions to inform pharma pipeline investments and global Oncology launches analytics. Furthermore, the leader will partner closely with the Global marketing team, Finance teams & Enterprise strategy to inform executive decision making through analytics support for business development and alliances/ partnerships.

The leader will enable a set of analytics capabilities anchored to our early commercial marketing framework, leverage simulation/ scenario planning, and communicate on-going risk/ benefit against standardized marketing and financial metrics to drive business decisions. The leader will proactively orchestrate the planning and delivery of complex analytics assessments across HHDDA functional teams (market research, forecast activation, data science, payer insights & analytics, and data strategy & solutions).

Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Global Commercial Pipeline analytics within HHDDA, this role will lead the development of capabilities for the Oncology disease & assets areas, with the Global lens. This leader will also serve as a strategic thought partner to the Oncology Global stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Global Commercial Pipeline Analytics: Build and lead a high-performing analytics group to provide transparency and drive decision-making around our pharma pipeline assets. Develop commercial insights solutions & business cases driven by data and analytical models.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with global marketing teams, finance, market leaders, enterprise strategy and operations to inform strategic reviews and increase commercial rigor through all phases of pipeline asset development and Global Launch readiness.

  • Communication and Transparency: Provide the executive team, global marketing teams, and governance committees, transparency and commercial insights on pipeline portfolio on topics related to market dynamics, competitive insights, patient journeys, access considerations among others. Serve as the Analytics thought partner to senior leaders.

  • Analytics Orchestration and Benchmarking: Establish a set of analytics capabilities anchored to our early commercial marketing framework to shape Global Oncology strategy and proactively “connect the dots” across HHDDA cross-functional teams. Lead benchmarking analytics to collect, analyze, and translate insights into recommended business actions to inform pipeline development choices. Provide critical insights to senior leaders and investor relations for communication on human health portfolio, early pipeline commercial forecasts and related business drivers.

  • Performance measurement: lead Global Oncology performance measurements for must-win launches and key Global in-line initiatives.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Develop and engage a high-performing team. Proactively manage team workload and ensure optimal resource utilization.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a science or business-related field

  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, PharmD, PhD) preferred

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Insights & Analytics, asset portfolio management, strategic planning, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

  • 5+ years direct people management experience with responsibility for performance management, talent development and coaching

  • Strategic thinker who can be consultative and “engage as equals” with stakeholders

  • Strong knowledge of portfolio analytics, financial planning, and industry best practices with a focus on the Oncology therapeutic area

  • Deep understanding of Real-world data assets and commercial pharma data ecosystem

  • Proven track record of leadership and team management

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Relationship-building and influencing skills with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally

  • Strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience in working in multi-national corporations with geographically distributed teams and matrix reporting lines

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in the Global Life Sciences Analytics space: US and Ex-US datasets, market research, forecasting, advanced analytics, predictive analytics, competitive intelligence, etc.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$243,500.00 - $383,300.00
