Actalent Construction Project Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Title: Sr. Construction Project ManagerJob Description

We specialize in building manufacturing facilities for pharmaceutical, bio-tech, and animal health clients. As a Sr. Construction Project Manager, you'll have the opportunity to work throughout the Southeast leading construction projects to successful completion—safely, on time, and on budget. You will work closely with the Project Director and/or Senior Project Manager to guide our engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams to achieve project goals. This role requires a strong construction background , an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality, and a focus on client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a working knowledge of prime contract requirements and apply knowledge to project activities.

  • Support the Project Manager in the development and maintenance of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.

  • Facilitate communication between project participants.

  • Assist Project Managers/Directors in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other documents.

  • Support the Project Manager in the procurement and coordination of all required project resources.

  • Pursue scheduling information from subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals.

  • Develop a working knowledge of the project budget and identify exposures to the project budget throughout the execution of the project.

  • Assist the Project Manager in the management of change control systems and policies.

  • Ensure quality assurance for the project by understanding contractually required quality in design and construction.

  • Monitor design content, quality, and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance.

  • Review all shop drawings/submittals.

  • Ensure project documents are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in project delivery or a related field.

  • Experience managing construction for multi-million-dollar projects.

  • OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.

  • Manufacturing/Industrial experience.

  • Experience in the construction of pharmaceutical, bio-tech, and/or life science facilities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients.

  • Strong team-building skills.

  • Strong work ethic.

Work Environment

On-site work environment at a manufacturing facility. The role involves coordinating with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and managing construction activities within a dynamic and fast-paced setting. The dress code is professional attire appropriate for construction site visits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00
