The Role

In this exciting role you will be responsible for managing programs in the Systems, Technology, Engineering, Product and Network (STEPN) organization. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and managing largescale IT/Network projects with significant complexity and unique requirements. You will ensure that projects are completed on time within scope and within budget. You will work closely with various departments to meet project objectives and deliver high quality results. Scope will encompass but is not limited to Lumen's global infrastructure focusing on simplification and modernization to transition network and systems to a common architecture supporting go forward services seamlessly across its footprint. You will have a direct impact on driving operational and cost efficiencies across the business.

The Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning execution and closing of Systems Development related projects ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives

• Develop comprehensive project plans including scope timelines resource allocation and risk management

• Monitor project progress identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as needed

• Manage project budgets ensuring financial accountability and cost control as well as benefit tracking and reporting

• Collaborate with cross functional teams including IT Product Development Service Delivery and Service Assurance to achieve project milestones

• Act as the primary point of contact for all project related issues and inquiries

• Develop and maintain comprehensive strategic project plans to manage resources to ensure proper task alignment and sequencing identify critical path and drive cross organizational alignment

• Facilitate regular and ad hoc project team meetings to keep resources on track to bring responsible parties together to solve issues and to provide a forum for team discussions

• Track and report regularly on program status and performance using appropriate systems tools and techniques Basic Program status to Executive level reporting

• Perform risk assessments regularly implement risk mitigation strategies or recovery plans and communicate and/or escalate issues to Leadership

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Requires Bachelors degree and related experience or 10+ years of experience working with complex technical architecture and systems solutions for networks

• Ability to lead disciplined innovative strategic or tactical planning with other internal technical stakeholder groups

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Word

• Knowledge of project management PMI standards and processes

• Knowledge of various aspects of a development process including but not limited to Requirements Gathering, Planning Design, Coding, Test, Deployment, Documentation

• Familiarity of various process methodologies e.g. Scrum@Scale, SAFe, Waterfall, Kanban

• Advanced time management organizational and analytical skills

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Knowledge of engineering infrastructure software development and system integration

• Experience with software application consolidation programs

• Strong problem solving and decision making abilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY

$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI

$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
