Army National Guard Units SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR (Title 32) in Rapid City, South Dakota

Summary This National Guard position is for a Support Services Supervisor, Position Description Number NGD1592P01 and is part of JFHQ. This is a permanent Title 32, Dual-Status position. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION - Members of the South Dakota Army National Guard. Responsibilities As a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR, GS-0342-10, you will: This position is located in an information management organization. Serves as the chief of the branch and as a principal advisor to the supervisor on the administrative activities of the state. Directs administrative services in support of widely dispersed professional, technical, military and support personnel of the National Guard statewide. The responsibilities of the branch are accomplished through a staff of 3 or more subordinates. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Open to Enlisted - MAJ. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full-time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning and organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to obtain their cooperation or compliance with procedures, rules, or practices. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for support service functions required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. Skill to provide overall technical and administrative direction to administrative support activities, such as, mail management/distribution, records management, reprographics, privacy and freedom of information acts, printing services management, publications management and supply, micrographics, administrative budget, military correspondence, forms management and field printing. Skill to manage funds allocated for operation of the branch, including stockroom, property maintenance, and other reimbursable accounts. Skill to plan and assign work to be accomplished within the organization, sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Knowledge of the State's Federal Printing Program in support of the National Guard.
