Summary This position is the Entry Level Worker at Daybreak Foods/New Day Farms. Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position performs various tasks ensuring the highest quality product possible. Key Responsibilities Learn and perform all functions of the position assigned following all company rules and standards. Maintain compliance with personal and bio-security hygiene requirements. Keep assigned work area clean and free of clutter. Follow all company safety policies and practices. Maintain the security of the property by keeping facility doors locked to prevent entry by predators or unauthorized personnel. Learn the duties and responsibilities of the job assigned. An agricultural background or experience working in an agricultural environment or basic mechanical skills preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience in agriculture, food processing, or machine maintenance. Safety awareness. Ability to operate machinery as directed. Ability to communicate effectively. Desire to learn and progress within the organization. Physical Demands Stand and walk constantly; grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently; sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work Environment Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. Temperature varies in relation to the outside temperature. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions.
