Position Job Title: Senior Manager, Global Capacity Plan Organization

Scope: DPS Joints & PT (Cork, Leeds, Blackpool, Oberdorf, Suzhou, Raynham, Warsaw, Palm Beach Gardens)

Reports too: Global Supply Network Plan Lead

Job summary

  • The Global Capacity Plan Leader is responsible for designing and implementing long term capacity planning processes at FG & RM levels to meet supply commitments for the Joints/Power Tools/Digital MedTech sites. They serve as a vital link between Plan, VSL, Finance, Demand, Production Sites, and Procurement.

  • Their leadership extends to a Global Planning organization, leveraging integrated systems and best practices to enhance supply performance metrics such as ATS (Able to Schedule), MPS attainment, Inventory optimization, and reduction of Backorder.

  • This role will lead a global team with members based in Ireland, US, UK, China.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In accordance with all applicable federal, state,and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Design and implement long term capacity planning processes (FG & RM), ensuring consistent global planning practices across the network.

  • Responsible for ensuring manufacturing build plans support high levels of customer service while maintaining minimum levels of inventory.

  • Provides leadership, coaching and management of the central Planning team, and is the single point of contact for supply escalations.

  • Lead consistent implementation and adherence to global metrics relevant to the organization e.g. Manufacturing Plan attainment

  • Drive escalation process in a pro-active manner working cross functionally to improve supply performance.

  • Facilitates monthly production supply review, capacity analysis, and elevate any needs to the monthly Site Consensus (site SRM)

  • Acts as principal liaison in problem-solving for issues potentially compromising the production plan.

  • Strategy Deployment: key input to the strategy for the Global Supply Planning organization and execute supply chain transformation implementation plans.

  • Champions a positive employee environment by promoting open communication, engagement, and development of strong teams. Promotes a culture of inclusiveness, trust, flexibility, and teamwork in alignment with CREDO and Leadership Imperatives.

  • Collaboration with key stakeholders: Partner with manufacturing organization to develop plans to ensure an agile response.

  • Technology Growth: Stay abreast of industry trends, explore novel solutions, and proactively seek opportunities to integrate cutting-edge tools and methodologies into our workflows. Benchmark within and external to the business.

  • Coordinates the startup of new or transferred products, plant activities, and any major projects that may affect the production plan.

  • Budget Volumes: Lead the development of annual budget volumes in conjunction with key stakeholders across Demand, VSL, Finance, Make

  • Foster an environment where team members feel empowered to take ownership of their work. Champion growth and development by celebrating success and coaching during learning opportunities.

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level

  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in an international organization with a fast-evolving environment.

  • Deep functional knowledge and experience in leading Supply Planning and other aspects of Supply Chain including Master Scheduling, Inventory optimization and S&OP. Experience in the Medical Device industry or GMP environment.

  • Demonstrated exceptional leadership and management skills and an understanding of business beyond core functional expertise.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

  • BS Business, Finance, Logistics, Engineering or Healthcare. MBA/MSc in related fields a plus. Other relevant professional qualifications considered.

  • Strategic thinking, ability to create, cultivate and implement change.

  • Excellent stakeholder management: Strong knowledge & partnering ability with all business functions.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR OTHERS & INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

  • This role is responsible for the Global Central Capacity Plan team which incorporates the Master Schedulers and Analysts who complete the capacity planning activities. or Healthcare.

  • This role reports to the Global Supply Network Plan Lead.

  • Working with other departments such as Make, Finance, Demand, PP&L, VSL, Source, Quality.

Location & travel requirements

  • The primary location of the position will be DPS site Globally

  • Percentage of expected travel 10%
