Commercial Systems & Technology (CST) team within the Engineering, Data, Operations & Tools (EDOT) organization is on a mission to empower every persona in MCAPS with digital capabilities to bring the best of Microsoft to their Customers. We are driving radical AI-led transformation of one of the most complex ecosystems of tools, platforms & experiences. At the same time, we are massively simplifying hundreds to tools built over the years to support various multi-billion MCAPS businesses and building new converged capabilities with agility to support the growing & evolving needs of those businesses. A core part of our mission is to leverage Microsoft products as a Customer Zero to drive this transformation and help our products become world-class!

We are looking for a Senior Business Program Manager (BPM) who will champion the vision/strategy and delivery of digital solutions and AI capabilities that enable multi-billion-dollar revenue generating MCAPS businesses to further grow/scale. As a Senior BPM, you will lead the capability roadmap of Sales experiences for Microsoft Sales across segments and roles, you will drive the implementation of “intelligent”, AI-first and/or AI-only solutions that enable efficient process execution, and demonstrate Customer Zero implementation scenarios for our Customers and Partners. You will work closely with stakeholders across Microsoft, multiple Engineering and Business teams across Sales and Marketing, to optimize the sales process execution, and provide industry leading AI to Customer and Partner facing roles, turn strategy into execution, and enable a world-class sales experience!

Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Program Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develops the vision, strategy, and user experience, then drives cross-team coordination across Business (sales, marketing, service delivery, finance, etc.) and Engineering teams to address complex challenges and opportunities. Delivers quality intelligent solutions in a timely manner to enable growth for Microsoft, Partners and Customers. Shapes system architectures that provide measurable customer value, along with driving engineering and operational excellence across products and services.

  • Guides others to identify AI and digital transformation opportunities and world-class experiences that will support achievement of business goals, acting as both a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and trusted advisor.

  • Engages with stakeholders to understand and translate and clarify the complex opportunity areas and problem statements into business requirements, processes, workflows, user stories and features for engineering teams working on the solution, leading others through user acceptance testing, demos, proof of concepts (POCs), and/or focus groups to determine the end-user experience and needs.

  • Design and build AI-first experiences and solutions in an agile way, prototype and iterate with stakeholders, deliver value iteratively through MVP releases and fast-follow value-add enhancements, to support critical business needs. Dynamically adjust engineering plans to support priority business asks.

  • Leverages subject-matter expertise of product features and partner with appropriate stakeholders to drive and communicate end-to-end project schedules for solution area(s). Holds stakeholders accountable for following the schedule. Partners with Engineering teams to manage work, dependencies, and resources against project schedules to enable cohesive, connected user scenarios and tactically utilizes finite resources to accomplish goals.

  • Utilizes a deep expertise in sales operations and technology landscape to ensure technical and business solutions are congruent and connected to provide the right business value. Leverages Business Value Realization principles to define and track success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]), such as quality, adoption, usage, impact, and effectiveness for the program.

  • Acts as a gatekeeper for product compliance, identifying and addressing security/privacy concerns.

  • Leads others when engaging in customer support to gather feedback by reviewing Voice of Customers (VoC) tools that informs performance of the solution. Provides expertise in developing a pathway to resolve any issues.

  • Partners with sales enablement and landing teams to prepare Sales businesses for complex changes due to implementation of new or modified technical solutions evaluates results of the changes/adoptions. Partners on the creation of a change plan and communication plans for new technical solutions.

  • Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, scalability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Partner internally to improve the overall productivity through recommendations and improvements to tools and processes.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement, capability design, and/or data implementation efforts

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years experience leading and partnering across a variety stakeholders including engineering leaders.

  • 2+ years working with and driving requirements and digital transformation for emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience in sales, sales excellence, consulting for sales customer relationship management (CRM), or sales operations, gained in a large, multi-national organization with large-scale coordination of programs across functions and regions.

  • 2+ years experience working in or adjacent to the pre and post sales processes..

  • 2+ years experience driving results in a complex, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environment with the ability to lead envisioning process to capture business requirements and business impact assessment, and then map requirements to solution use cases.

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
