Microsoft Corporation Senior Procurement Operations Manager in Redmond, Washington

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Operations Manager to lead and drive the supply chain for Employee Hardware Peripherals and manage the reseller Surface program, including supplier delivery management. Additionally, continuous improvement of global employee device management processes to ensure run state is effective, including process documentation, planning and deployment of program changes, coordination of change management and communication plans. You will manage employee hardware exceptions strategy overseeing the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) process for alignment, simplification, and effectiveness.

In this role, you will be a team player who can think strategically, while also being able to execute and utilize deep domain knowledge demonstrated in program operations management.

Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain – Manage a portfolio of suppliers and channel partners to meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA). Partner to improve the Global Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) performance and relationship in the Employee Hardware space, partnering with our IT partners on certification, product needs and road-map. Create a clear inventory and fulfillment strategy in the Peripheral and First party product space.

  • Operational Management – Leverage critical thinking and program management skills to design, implement, and evolve large scale programs. Take a vision and craft a tangible design into execution. Work in ambiguous situations across a dynamic, fast-paced environment and flexibly take on projects based on team’s requirements.

  • Process Management – Utilize business acumen and analytical skills in creating and re-engineering global workflow processes through automation to solve tough problems in complex environments.

  • Operations and Continuous Improvement – Once launched, monitor program performance and effectiveness for constant improvement of efficiency and customer satisfaction. Improvements should also be strategic in nature that impacts the broader Microsoft success.

  • Collaboration – Liaison with key partners, stakeholders, suppliers, and team members to orchestrate alignment activities within Microsoft Procurement.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency with data analysis skills and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or others.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years of business experience in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Global Operational Programs, Change Management, and/or Procurement.

  • 3+ years of program management with a focus on user experience driving process simplification and/or improvements in a large, complex environment using technology.

  • Desire to drive continuous improvements; Six-Sigma certification is a plus.

  • Proficient experience in process, dashboard, and tools development to improve productivity, efficiency and user experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain space.

  • Domain proficiency demonstrated in program operations management and a proven ability of driving results that are aligned to strategic priorities.

  • Reliable business acumen and analytical skills to be successful.

  • Change leader with dependable stakeholder management and collaboration.

  • Leadership capabilities to deliver results with a passion for technology, curiosity and critical thinking.

  • Use clear, concise and articulative communication skills.

  • Problem solving in ambiguous situations, flexible in face of change, and self-motivated.

Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
