Microsoft Corporation Senior Supply Chain NPI Program Manager in Redmond, Washington
Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages spares, decommissioning, and disposition of data center assets worldwide.
This Senior Supply Chain New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager role presents an exciting opportunity to influence a part of the cloud business. As part of the Supply Chain NPI team, this role will be responsible for utilizing technical understanding to effectively launch new cloud solutions and improve time to scale. This role will act as a key point-of-contact across Supply Chain, Engineering Business Groups and Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (HIFE) Groups to deliver scalable execution. As Microsoft's cloud business continues to grow, the ability to deploy new offerings and hardware (HW) infrastructure on time, in high volume with high quality and lowest cost is of paramount importance.

Responsibilities
In this role, you'll oversee supply chain NPI for new cloud solutions, focusing on collaboration with product teams, engineering group, datacenter infrastructure teams, and supply chain functions to lead with an agile NPI framework that ensures customer requirements are met. Specific duties would include:
Utilizing technical expertise to engage effectively with Engineering, ensuring schedule, risk, issues, quality, and changes meet business and customer needs
Operating effectively in ambiguity by applying process where it’s valuable, clear, and simplifies execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define a supply chain NPI readiness strategy
Conducting cost-benefit analyses to examine performance and influence decisions
Understanding the product’s technical attributes, NPI milestones, deliverables, and interdependencies to make informed decisions
Using program management tools and communication methods to ensure all stakeholders share a common understanding of the plan-of-record
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 4+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics
OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in high-tech supply chain, new product introduction, engineering or related fields
3+ years of experience in program management
Skillfully able to lead others through ambiguous situations
Proficient in business tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Azure Dev Ops), and ability to generate quality outputs
NPI Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
