Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to write software for automating hardware test systems using Python for scripting. The role involves developing software infrastructure to support test case creation, working with CI/CD systems (AWS – CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline), and aligning with various stakeholders on software requirements. The engineer will also document software requirements from users, support manufacturing and new product development, enable automated data collection and analysis, and deliver end-user documentation. Additionally, you will execute software quality and release processes.
Responsibilities
Write software to automate hardware test systems using Python for scripting
Develop software infrastructure to support test case creation
Work with CI/CD systems (AWS – CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline)
Align with various stakeholders on software requirements
Document software requirements from users
Support manufacturing and new product development
Enable automated data collection and data analysis
Deliver end-user documentation
Execute software quality and release processes
Work with electrical test equipment
Essential Skills
Experience with Python for scripting
Experience with CI/CD systems (AWS – CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodePipeline)
Mid-Level Linux OS experience, able to set up Linux machines
Strong skills in testing, particularly in writing software to test hardware systems
Experience with Test Stand or automated testing
Ability to develop test cases and software testing
Proficiency in SQL, Selenium, and QA
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with automation
Experience in documenting software requirements and delivering end-user documents
Work Environment
This role requires working onsite in Redmond in an R&D lab environment, with a future possibility of transitioning to a manufacturing setting. The position offers 15 days of PTO per year and 7 paid holidays. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00
