Solution Area Specialist

Job Description: Provide technical expertise and consumer insights to drive digital transformation. Research market conditions in local, regional, or national areas, or gather information to determine potential sales of Microsoft products or services. May gather information on competitors, prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution, and create marketing campaigns to promote the adoption of technology. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate deployment, create business value, and shape consumer decisions to buy and adopt Microsoft technologies. Evaluate financial and sales data to identify patterns that help scale business, close deals, and realize business goals. Support go-to-market initiatives by translating business and industry data into solutions that help sellers meet targets and operational standards. May analyze consumer needs to provide feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering teams regarding current and future product requirements and sales blockers. Telecommuting permitted 100% from the NE U.S.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related
  • Experience: 60 months of  technology related sales or account management experience
  • Education or Experience in: Enterprise Sales; presenting to large and small groups of business and technical decision makers; working with Cloud technologies and/or Incubation software technologies; and presenting business justifications for solutions and projects.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position ML94886B, in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from the NE U.S.), is $158,000 to $188,000.  

 

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?  

 

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
