Microsoft Corporation Sr Program Manager Azure Cloud Collaboration Center (Infrastructure Resiliency) in Redmond, Washington

Azure Global is the organization within Microsoft that is dedicated to expanding the reach of Azure so that it can be adopted by every country, every industry, and every customer in the world. The organization is responsible for Azure’s Infrastructure, including designing and launching future Azure data center regions, expanding global coverage, and working through new Azure offerings. The Azure Global team also drives Azure’s Industry strategy and Cyber Sovereignty engineering which includes working with customers across our key Commercial and Government industries as well as driving privacy, compliance, data residency and security for Azure.

The Azure Global Architecture (AGA) team within the Azure Global organization supports the priorities and initiatives within the broader organization from working with some of our most complex customer projects to incubating new initiatives and driving internal standards around engineering and architecture principles.

This role specifically focuses on the critical infrastructure of the Azure Cloud Collaboration Center (CCC), Microsoft’s first-of-its-kind engineering facility. It includes translating business scenarios into physical and logical solutions and driving their implementations to achieve maximum infrastructure resiliency. This versatile role engages with organizations across Microsoft to ensure these critical solutions light up end-to-end while it also provides requirements for engineering teams in support of feature development.

Our Sr Program Managers possess leadership skills, program management discipline expertise, and technical aptitude. They understand how to align and drive large collaboration to achieve maximum business impact. They have hands-on project management experience and are curious about industry trends. They are skilled at writing specs, creating roadmaps, and driving progress using easy to consume KPIs and metrics against the project schedule throughout the entire product and service lifecycle. They are excited about sharing their knowledge with others and collaborating across all of Microsoft.


  • Drive the end-to-end implementation and delivery of processes, software, and programs

  • Develop collaborative partnerships across multiple disciplines including engineering, UX design, PM, and negotiate conflicting priorities

  • Define simple repeatable solutions for complex problems at scale, applying a structured methodology and standard project management approach

  • Effectively measure and communicate progress and risks throughout the project lifecycle and influence the adoption of change

  • Use scenario focused design & development methodologies to define requirements that produce the best partner or customer experience

  • Continually use data to derive insights to measure and improve services and programs

  • Be a learner and dream big


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a program management focused role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical depth in at least one software engineering discipline

  • Experience in product feature development

  • Experience in identifying, defining, sizing, and prioritizing work streams and items

  • Experience in planning, managing scope and timelines realistically

  • Experience in creating roadmaps, status updates, documentation, and presentations

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to lead across multiple teams without authority

  • Excellent communication skills across a massively diverse audience

  • Persistence and a track record of completion

  • Comfortable with complexity and ability to bring clarity to ambiguous scenarios even if only partial information is available

  • Experience delivering services using agile methodologies
