Robert Half Paralegal in Redwood Shores, California
Description We are seeking a Paralegal to join our team in Redwood Shores, California. The primary function of this role is to assist the litigation group in various aspects of Intellectual Property (IP) and patent litigation process. You will work closely with senior paralegals and attorneys through all stages of litigation and will be instrumental in maintaining case organization, preparing document productions, and attending trials.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the litigation group through all stages of litigation, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Review and prepare court filings, ensuring accuracy and proper citation.
• Contribute to filing and service of documents, working closely with other team members for effective discovery.
• Maintain production and deposition indexes, ensuring all information is updated and easily accessible.
• Update production databases regularly and assist in preparing document productions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare for and attend trials, providing necessary support to the litigation group.
• Work closely with senior paralegals and attorneys, providing support and assistance as needed.
• Utilize various software and technology tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant systems to perform job duties efficiently.
• Handle complaint administration and calendar management tasks, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Demonstrate expertise in Intellectual Property - Litigation, IP Litigation, cite checking, e-Filing, and civil litigation experience. Requirements • Possess substantial knowledge and experience in the paralegal field.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for document management and review.
• Familiarity with Case Management Software to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.
• Experience with LexisNexis for legal research and case preparation.
• Proficient in utilizing a management system for organizing and coordinating tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.
• Experience in handling billing functions within a legal setting.
• Capable of preparing briefings and legal documents in a timely and accurate manner.
• Skilled in calendar management and scheduling meetings, appointments, and court dates.
• Experience in claim administration, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency in handling complaints, with a keen eye for resolving issues promptly.
• Experience in intellectual property litigation and IP litigation.
• Possess strong cite checking skills, ensuring accuracy and completeness of legal documents.
• Proficiency in e-Filing systems for efficient submission of legal documents.
• Prior experience in civil litigation, with a focus on thoroughness and attention to detail.
