Mifflin County Airport Authority Airport Maintenance Technician in Reedsville, Pennsylvania
Position: Airport Maintenance Technician
General Purpose of Job:
The Airport Maintenance Technician reports to the Airport Manager and is responsible for routine maintenance of the airport buildings, grounds, and systems. This is a part-time position, requiring an estimated 12-15 hours per week.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Routine maintenance including painting, cleaning, weed and brush control, etc.
Responsible for lawn care and snow removal.
Fuels aircraft.
On-call for weekend jet fuel sales and emergencies.
Conducts daily fuel testing and records results.
Maintains airport lighting, UNICOM, AWOS systems, etc.
Routinely communicates on UNICOM, providing airport advisories, etc.
Cleans terminal building.
Takes on additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of tractors, mowers, snow removal equipment, etc. (required)
Basic knowledge of construction, plumbing, wiring, painting, etc. (required)
Detailed understanding of the airport fuel farm system. (preferred)
Aircraft fueling and fuel spill procedures. (preferred)
Operates credit card payment system. (preferred)
Education, Certification and/or Training:
Attends appropriate classes or seminars as directed, i.e. fuel testing, snow operations, general airport safety and operations, etc.
Complete Philips Aviation Fuel Safety video course.
