In this role, you have the opportunity to
Contribute as a member of the Transducer Product Industrialization Engineering Team supporting both the introduction of exciting, new, state-of-the-art Ultrasound transducer products and providing feedback to the product design team in the area of design for manufacturability/testability (DfM).
Product Industrialization Engineer is responsible for engineering tasks associated with manufacturing test development. regulatory compliance, design transfer, deployment qualification, and introduction of products and their associated manufacturing test processes to meet cost and quality goals
You are responsible for (but not limited to)
Developing new cost effective test strategies and solutions through direct contribution and partnering with other team members, Philips R&D specialists and third parties
Delivering manufacturing test solutions on time with quality
Defining project requirements and developing appropriate validation and qualification plans
Creating and deploying supporting infrastructure software
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain organization
Maintaining and improving a collaborative cross-site and cross-functional team effort that leads to effective on time deployments of test solutions.
Maintaining regulatory compliance according to Philips Healthcare quality system
You are part of

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
Min 3 years’ experience developing test and measurement systems using modular instrumentation or similar
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to be a creative and collaborative team player.
A proven track record in working with cross-functional development teams to ensure timely and effective deployment of test solutions is a must
Structured problem solving
Experience in the following areas is a plus for this position:
Software development using high level languages. LabVIEW preferred
Medical device or other regulated industries
Experience with the design, use of and test of Mixed Signal systems DC – 50MHz
SQL and/or Oracle database
The Product Industrialization Test team is based in both Cambridge, MA and Reedsville, PA and consists of 9 other engineers that together with a process engineering team, develop the tools and systems that bring highly complex product designs from the Ultrasound product designers department to the manufacturing floor. The team interacts with local, national and international teams to support a wide range of ultrasound products.
The fast paced environment places emphasis on a first time right approach, as such in-depth knowledge of product design, test solution design and regulatory compliance is expected.
