Ameresco Associate Account Executive in Remote, Arizona

Ameresco is seeking an ambitious, talented Associate Account Executive in Arizona, New Mexico, or Utah to strategically drive new opportunities for energy efficiency, energy conservation, infrastructure renewal, and renewable energy solutions in the MUSH (Municipal, University, Schools & Hospitals) markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate new client leads through demand generation tools, assist in negotiations, and assist in the close of contracts for Energy Solutions.

  • Prospect and identify potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, and networking events.

  • Assist fellow Account Executives with the overall client business development process.

  • Identify potential markets, distribution channels, and counterparties of interest to drive scalable partnerships and portfolio growth.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales based on current market conditions.

  • Cultivate new business relationships and communicate full scope of Ameresco solutions and services to meet client needs, requirements, and goals.

  • Target and work with our Account Executives to contact key decision makers and develop positive relationships to secure new projects opportunities, sales volume, and market share.

  • Utilize Tech Stack (Salesforce, Outreach, Zoominfo, etc.) to carry out market research, identify prospects, track activities, update lead information, and report on progress regularly.

  • Seek internal technical project guidance to ensure achievement of client satisfaction.

  • Represent the company professionally at industry events, conferences, and trade shows as required; and

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Facilities & Property Management, Marketing, or related technical field, and 2+ years of professional job experience in a related field of energy efficiency, energy management or facilities management.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Superb listening skills.

  • Have a knowledge of energy industry, structure, trends, and issues to ensure full discovery and understanding of client’s primary business objectives and requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word and power point).

  • Demonstrated sales lead development and account cultivation skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, computer communication, and technical presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
