Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Email Marketing and Automation Coordinator in the Marketing department, reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager.
The Email Marketing and Automation Coordinator will be to create, manage and execute Akin’s email marketing campaigns – including thought leadership, firm-wide announcements and event-related email campaigns, to name a few. The Coordinator will use their knowledge of email distribution and marketing automation platforms, as well as CRM, to facilitate successful campaigns and work closely with our event marketing and business development colleagues.
Additionally, the Coordinator will support Akin through a digital transformation initiative to adopt a marketing automation platform. The incumbent in this position will support the adoption project as well as be one of its first users, helping with education and training around the product’s capabilities. They will coordinate deliverables related to a wide-range of email marketing communications, and propose suggestions based on behavioral activities. They will build, edit, test and deploy marketing automation journeys and email communications.
This is an execution-heavy role and requires a high level of technical expertise, project management and strong attention to detail. The incumbent in this position is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm’s attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. The Coordinator must also have strong Internet connection as this is a remote-first position.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Create, manage and execute email campaigns end-to-end.
Add/manage content to Akin’s website where it supports email campaigns.
Test and QA email campaigns and follow team processes for how to manage email campaigns from start to finish.
Work with CRM, event marketing and business development teams to ensure appropriate campaign set ups, configurations and uses cases are met.
Propose automated email workflows and drip campaigns, where necessary.
Regularly review email performance and conduct an analysis on email programs.
Stay current on product updates and best practices with email distribution and automation platforms.
Serve as an admin for Vuture, our email distribution tool, onboarding and training new users on the platform.
Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
2+ years of email marketing
Strong Internet connection
Experience working in fast-paced environments
Have an understanding of law firms or professional service environments
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Computer Sciences or Engineering
Experience in email distribution tool, Vuture
Experience referencing date in CRM systems such as InterAction or Salesforce
Experience adding/managing content on websites
Experience with marketing automation tools such as Marketo
Experience producing and interpreting marketing analytics
HTML knowledge
