ACCOUNT LEAD GENETIC DISEASES - Territory Nordbayern (m/f)

Shire is currently recruiting for an Account Lead (m/f) to join our Commercial Genetic Disease Team in Germany.

This position is offered on a permanent and full-time basis.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Account Lead is the strategic and operational lead of the accounts within the assigned territory for the products and markets of the portfolio of the Genetic Diseases Franchise, Replagal ® in Morbus Fabry, VPRIV® in Morbus Gaucher and Elaprase® in Morbus Hunter. The customer interactions span across the main KOLs and prescribers as well as relevant target groups and stakeholders for disease awareness in hospitals and private practices (neurology, nephrology, cardiology, pediatrics, hematology, gastroenterology). The Account Lead is responsibility for sales, disease awareness and patient finding in the assigned territory and to achieve the set targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

You will:

  • be responsible to achieve sales targets for of assigned products through competitive selling.

  • execute product strategy per direction of marketing and sales management including feedback on implementation and customer experience to influence future strategy development.

  • be responsible for strategic customer analysis and planning, customer segmentation.

  • develop and implement account plans and regular reviews with cross functional team.

  • plan and implement activities to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) including pre- and post-call planning.

  • communicate and coordinate customer activities in cross-functional collaboration (Line Manager, Marketing, Franchise Head, Medical, Access, Legal).

  • Master S&ME tools, esp. CRM-Tool documentation, analysis and planning.

  • organize local peer-to-peer meetings & round table events.

  • participate in regional, national and selected international congresses.

  • gather market and competitive intelligence data.

  • develop KOL´s in collaboration with cross-functional team.

  • help create disease awareness with HCPs/customers in order to support (motivate) patient screening.

  • educate relevant HCPs/specialist on referral pathways for diagnosis to facilitate patient identification and/or treatment.

  • comply with regulatory framework in Germany and with applicable codes of conduct (AKG and EFPIA) as well as company SOPs.

  • forwards immediately medical requests, product complaints and SARs („Verdachtsmeldungen“).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferable MBA or university degree in biology, pharmacy, or economy.

  • Working experience with multinational companies in sales, key account management and/or marketing, preferably in rare diseases.

  • “Pharmareferent” in line with AMG § 75, Abs. 3

  • strong track record of delivery in Sales, Regional Accounts and Bids procedures,

  • business fluency in German and English language and strong communication and presentation skills,

  • treasure an active, interdisciplinary and collaborate team approach,

  • positive and problem solving “can-do” attitude and a natural drive to achieve success,

  • valid driving license and a valid work permit, both for Germany
