Shire Key Account Manager (Finland) in Remote, Finland

The Key Account Manager is responsible for the development and execution of a business plan for Shire’s HAE, products, within the Immunology franchise , including annual sales targets and marketing strategies and tactics, which are adapted for local needs but consistent with European and global strategies. Cooperate with Nordic Sales Manager and Nordic Product Managers


  1. Responsible for the sales in the region

  2. Prepare account plans to meet all objectives within allocated budget and activity

  3. Develop long term business relationships through regular contact with relevant Clinicians, non-clinical managers and other staff to maximize business opportunities in the secondary sector and the relevant specialties

  4. Active participation in tender business, main contact for tender committee members

  5. Utilizes all available resources, including technology, to analyze and manage territory business.

  6. Monitor own objectives v. target, activity v. target and spend v. budget and give feedback to Sales manager

  7. Develop KOLs and product champions, maintain a list of speakers and co-ordinate speaker meetings and symposia

  8. Utilizes appropriate IT based control systems to plan and monitor business activities.

  9. Feeds back local competitor and market intelligence.

  10. Achieve an acceptable level of understanding of all relevant training/marketing materials.

  11. Ensure personal conduct in consistent with the Shire Leadership Behaviours.

  12. Communicates and exchanges information between all regional team members and marketing teams to ensure maximum awareness and share best practice

  13. Carry out other related tasks as requested by the Sales Manager

  14. Adheres and comply with Shire Local and Global guidelines and national health regulations.

  15. Organising and/or participating in appropriate local, national conferences and international conferences and Shire stand-alone meetings.

Education & Experience Requirements


  • Graduate Qualification in Life Sciences or an associated area.

  • Previous experience working in Pharmaceutical/Biotech Sales and Marketing


  • Higher level degree / MBA

  • Experience within relevant area
