Job Description Summary

The Sales and Application Specialist uses their expertise to enable independent sales, maintain market presence, secure repeat business and market growth across BK Medical Specialties including Neurosurgery/spine, Urology and General Surgery. You will independently manage, co-ordinate and document sales progress from initial enquiry through to closing whilst engaging with stake holders and key decision makers to secure the sale.

Job Description

Responsibilities

In the region responsible for:

  • Achieve annual and quarterly sale revenue targets using a robust transparent forecasting strategy

  • Sales of BK medical products according to the guidelines/policies of the company

  • Facilitate relationship building and account targeting strategies for your territory to maintain market share and support market growth

  • Participate in marketing campaigns at both local and international level

  • Develop key relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and scout for new KOL opportunities to promote clinical representation across all specialties.

  • Collate and share market feedback via internal channels

  • Work closely with Technical Service and Application Specialist to achieve common goal.

  • Maximize product and marketing knowledge using internal resources to continually meet BK Medical’s business directives

  • Maintain relevant documentation and field access credentialing

  • Independently plan and manage territory workload

Typical tasks to do

  • Lead sales demonstrations of BK Medical solutions and act as a subject matter expert for customers

  • Weekly and quarterly forecast reporting to Country Manager

  • Develop and execute strategic plans across all BK Medical Specialty markets.

  • Attend meetings and trade shows to demonstrate and promote BK medical products and services

  • Provide market feedback on market trends

  • Post sales installation and ongoing clinical support

  • Maintain CRM including opportunities & customer database.

  • Biweekly contact with Application Specialist to operate effectively to meet customer and BK Medical needs.

Experience

  • Some sales experience from a similar position with a medical device company

  • Prior experience with intra-operative Ultrasound or selling within Neurosurgery/spine, Urology and/or General Surgery is preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM experience

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Understand the regulatory implications of our solutions

  • A willingness to travel long distances with multiple overnight stays as required 40-50%

  • Degree education or equivalent

  • Self-starter, dynamic and outgoing with a strong drive to develop the clinical market approach

  • Able to keep focus also under pressure

  • Excellent communications and co-ordinations skills

  • Proactive and solutions oriented

  • Positive and outgoing, with a flexible attitude towards changes on a short-term notice

  • Understanding limits in own skills level and take action to address any needs to update skills
