LTCG Director, Operations - Annuities in REMOTE, Minnesota

Responsible for coordinating operational initiatives and providing leadership support to the operation teams with achieving performance, customer experience, and quality objectives for the client relationship. Illumifin is looking for a director of operations to lead Annuity New Business and Policy Service processing functions. This is a full-time position. The Annuity Operations area is responsible for all Annuity New Business and In-force policy administration in support of multiple carrier clients. Annuity Operations is a fast- paced, high-volume and critical business function. Successful individuals in this role are dependable, proactive and possess a highly collaborative leadership style. * Lead the day-to-day Annuity Operations including new business issuance, distributions, asset transfers, and claims while ensuring all service level agreements (SLA) are met * Collaborate with leadership and business partners to establish and document annuity business processes and procedures * Seek to constantly improve business processes through root cause analysis, process improvement and system automation * Manage the flow of new business applications and in-force transaction requests, ensuring resources are properly aligned to meet expectations and processing standards are achieved * Ensure compliance with new business replacement and exchange processing as well as suitability requirements * Work with other departments to monitor against key controls such as AML, OFAC and know-your-customer requirements, including timely follow-up with carriers’ clients * Efficiently resolve escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments * Create and maintain appropriate management reports to inform on progress toward business targets * Provide transparency to senior leadership by delivering regular reporting, metrics, and updates * Serve as the subject matter expert for annuity operations delivery and development * Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned * 8+ years financial services operations experience, preferably in Annuities * 8+ years directly leading managers and team members * Experience with insurance administrative systems and with point-of-sale technologies * Established track record of setting and meeting production and quality standards in an insurance back-office environment * Expert-level Excel skills used to analyze complex information and identify reasonable solutions * Proven experience with implementing continuous and process improvements along with the strong understanding of supporting technologies and platforms * Motivated self-starter: demonstrates a high level of initiative and seeks to implement new solutions to operational challenges * Strong, proactive communication skills used to effectively interact with external parties - agents, distributors, and vendors * Energized by working in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree * Annuities Experience * Technology background * Experience working with offshore vendors Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
