Job Summary:
Researches innovative idea solutions, consistently looking at ‘what is new’, and getting connected in the Workday community for best practices around what is best for the employee experience. Performs complex configuration to transform and optimize Workday processes to continually improve the end user experience.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads discovery, design and customer confirmation and optimization sessions, demonstrates and explains complex functionality or solutions to functional subject matter experts.
Observes manual and automated processes on a regular cycle for opportunities to streamline, eliminate risk, and or close gaps.
Works with the team to continuously improve solutions, processes, procedures, documentation standards, etc. Ensures delivery of project deliverables and documentation.
Reviews and provides recommendations to ensure processes are scalable and easily maintained.
Coaches client during business process design, offering options, risks, and downstream impacts related to decisions.
Configures the Workday system per client business requirements and Workday standards.
Demonstrates computational thinking. Identifies problem components, analyzes patterns, removes inefficient configurations or processes, and constructs algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs.
Provides alignment and collaboration with project leadership – proactively communicating project risks and issues.
Ensures functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation (assists integrators in configuring/testing integrations between Workday and external systems).
Ensures excellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs, build relationships and manage customer expectations. Knows when to push back, when to escalate, and when to go above and beyond to satisfy a customer.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE
- Five years’ experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Rare climbing.
