Description: Job Title: Expert Subcontracted Advisor in Supplier Development and Recovery
Pay Rate: $55.00-100.00/hour
Subcontract Employment: 1099/LLC and/or Indirect W2
Location: Remote w/ Travel within United States (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Northwest, West)
Travel: 50%+
Shift: First and Flexible
Overview: As an Expert Subcontracted Advisor through Belcan, you will be deployed to support projects related to Supplier Development, Recovery, Surveillance, Quality, Delivery Assurance, and Turnaround. This role involves critical project support, improvements, crisis intervention, and demonstrating value creation through proactive leadership and problem-solving. The position requires flexibility, extensive travel, and the ability to work on site at client locations or their suppliers to consult, assess, mitigate, and deliver measurable solutions.
Responsibilities Could Include:
Engage in assignments with aerospace and space clients or suppliers, requiring extensive travel.
Provide expert consultation to meet client needs and ensure successful project completion.
Troubleshoot issues across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chains, developing actionable solutions.
Conduct assessments and deliver advice on manufacturing, quality, and supply chain optimization.
Implement Value Stream Mapping, Lean initiatives, Kaizens, cycle-time studies, and other efficiency measures.
Develop and present on-site processes, procedures, and support documentation to enhance operational effectiveness.
Perform PFMEA analysis to recommend actions for failure prevention and correction, alongside time studies, Right the First Time (RFT) analyses, and Measurement System Analyses (MSAs).
Revise and develop work instructions for new and existing processes.
Communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders to resolve manufacturing, quality, and supply chain issues.
Qualifications:
Over 15 years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain, with a focus on the Aerospace and Space industries.
Demonstrated ability to represent Belcan onsite, managing multiple interests and stakeholders efficiently.
Capability to deploy rapidly on short notice with precision and effectiveness.
Experience with OEMs in Aerospace, Automotive, or Industrial sectors preferred.
Proficiency in identifying and resolving process deficiencies, implementing both immediate and strategic improvements.
Expertise in KPI management, lean methodologies, and hands-on shop floor collaboration across organizational levels.
Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience.
Have an understanding of material/production planning (ERP systems)
- Knowledge in cost reduction techniques (Should Cost, VAVE) is advantageous.
Travel Requirement:
- This role is full-time with a heavy travel component, focused on maintaining regional assignments when possible.

Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $55.00 - $100.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
