Salary Range: $120,000-140,000

THE ENERGY TEAM
Our Energy Group at CEI builds projects from the field to the grid. Whether it’s a solar, battery storage, substation, EV charging, microgrid or converter station project, our skilled project managers, engineers and field employees deliver when it matters most. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Pre-Construction Project Manager will manage the startup phase of major projects. They will assist with maintaining CEI standardization among remote, new project teams on PV and BESS projects.
Travel: to jobsites as required
Support project team at a program level with the following
Document & process control to standardize CEI jobsites
Guide & manage mobilization including IT coordination, file server setup, job site office setup, local vendor identification & selection
Work closely with Project Executive, Procurement, & Pre-Con team for long drive material procurement.
Manage outside engineering subcontractors & supervise both reoccurring internal & external (client facing) engineering meetings.
Manage AHJ permitting as required & coordinate permit comment responses.
Review and manage compliance requirements throughout the design & mobilization phase
Aggregate divisional material and service requirements if possible
Coordination/Support of newly hired project team member
Assist with Budgeting and Scheduling
Coordination with AHJ’s, Client, consultants and project team during the proposal development, negotiation and pre-mobilization phase
Research/develop and qualify vendors, consultants and subcontractors to support estimating and project teams
Sequence and prioritize activities per project schedule and manage subcontractor and vendor deliverable dates to meet schedule requirements
Evaluate subcontractor & vendor quotes and compare to budget documents and conformance with project documents.
Knowledge: A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
Job Complexity: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Supervision: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
ABOUT YOU
Experience with quote analysis and major buyout.
Knowledge of contract interpretation & requirements.
Excellent oral and written skills required.
Software: Microsoft Suite, Understanding of Primavera P6 schedules, Blue Beam
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or industry experience.
Licensure/Certifications: None required.
Experience: 5 years project engineering or project management in the solar or battery storage industry with a deep understanding of electrical & civil design.
