CTC, a leading provider of energy and sustainability consulting services to the federal government, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to provide strategic planning and technical program advisory support in the area of resilience and infrastructure. A successful candidate will enjoy working in a small team environment to identify and develop programs, projects, and initiatives to translate challenges into potential solutions and business opportunities for growth. The Senior Principal Strategic Advisor will be part of the Energy, Resilience & Sustainability (ERS) Division and build on the team's knowledge of energy resilience, sustainability, data and policy analysis, and the legal and regulatory environment to grow our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying and leading strategic opportunities for the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability line of business

• Developing and recommending strategic short and long-range goals based on analysis and studies of business conditions

• Building, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and new clients to help advance strategies and foster new business for the team

• Identifying future Federal Government contracting opportunities

• Keeping leadership abreast of changes in the industry or sector and the impact of events on the business climate and incorporates relevant trend data into all plans

• Working with clients to develop new initiatives on the topics of resilience, sustainability and utility infrastructure

• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ERS Division to support various Department of Defense clients

• Potentially serving in a client-facing role focused on a diverse portfolio of energy, water, environmental, and infrastructure issues 

Basic Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Engineering, Business, Public Policy or related field plus 12 years related experience or MA/MS/MBA in related field plus 10 years related experience

• At least 10 years supporting DoD Energy, Sustainability and/or Facility Programs with experience and knowledge of relevant issues, policies, and programs

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of energy resilience issues, and strategy planning; advanced education may be submitted in lieu of experience

• Acquired business acumen and leadership experience

• Willingness and ability to set priorities and deliver under tight deadlines as needed

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Capability to independently initiate, lead and manage tasks, with a high degree of detail and process orientation

• Ability to work in teams, and establish and maintain cross-functional and working relationships

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint      

• The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC) for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Energy policy/regulation development, implementation, and/or oversight at a federal level, preferably within the Department of Defense, the Department of Energy, or the Department of Homeland Security

• PE, CEM, and/or PMP certifications
