Intecon DHS Asset Management Specialist in Remote, Washington

Salary Range: $50–150 per hour

INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Asset Management Specialist to join its team and provide asset management support for DHS CISA's Asset Management Program. The candidate must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Candidates should have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.

  • US Citizens only

  • Active Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Suitability clearance

  • Experience with Sunflower Asset Management Systems (SAMS).

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day support to CISA's Asset Management Program and its Property Officers. Specific work under this Task includes:

  • Ensuring all accountable personal property is accounted for throughout its lifecycle. To include identification, accountability in the system of record, assigned a property custodian and authorized asset user, and assigned a unique barcode.

  • Processing property transactions, creating and maintaining official Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS) records and documentation in support of property acquisitions, transfers, and disposition activities.

  • Maintaining complete and accurate records, with a clear audit trail, of all CISA accountable personal property in the CISA Property System of Record, currently the SAMS.

  • Working directly with CISA's acquisition workforce and Local Property Officers (LPO) to review procurement documentation to ensure personal property is received and accountability is established.

  • Identifying and reporting idle property in accordance with CISA guidance.

  • Segregating and securing unassigned (new/excess) property in the CISA staging/storage area pending re-issue or disposal.

  • Performing periodic physical inventories (i.e. spot checks) of CISA accountable personal property and provide ad hoc inventories upon request.

  • Initiating and/or processing Reports of Survey to document incidents regarding loss, damage, destruction, or theft of personal property. Providing expertise as a technical advisor to CISA staff.

  • Assisting in the creation and delivery of training and training materials for CISA employees on their assigned duties.

  • Aiding in the development and maintenance of policy, processes, procedures, and controls to support CISA activities.

  • Lifting and Movement of property, to include the ability to 35 pounds from ground to 32” in height unassisted.

  • Conducting program reviews to support data quality, efficiency, and accuracy.

  • Developing and submitting regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reports, including: Monthly Inventory Reports and Monthly Property Transfer Reports

  • Collecting, consolidating, and preparing personal property for storage, disposal, and similar movements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

  • Certification in asset management or inventory control (e.g., Certified Property Professional Administrator (CPPA) or similar) is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management or property management.

  • Experience with government property management systems, specifically the Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS), is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for generating reports and data analysis.
