Your day at NTT DATA
The Senior Manager, IT Project Management oversees the people who lead internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Manages and prioritizes the project stream, working with internal customers to determine project definition and business requirements. Provides budget analysis, resource allocation and coordination of project activities that may be across functional areas within the organization. Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget. Monitors reliability and any internal issues that appear as a result of the project. The Senior Manager, IT Project Management establishes a repeatable methodology for managing all aspects of projects including project definition, scheduling, meeting management, milestone tracking, scope management, risk management, change management, communications, and status reporting, with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope. This position interacts with both internal customers as well as external vendors, serves as the principal conduit between IT, the Project Management Office, and the rest of the company to bring accountability and transparency to projects.
What you'll be doing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages personnel consistent with company guidelines and drives results within the following roles:
IT Program Project Managers
Business Analysts
Establishes the program and project management for the IT rhythm of business which includes, but is not limited to:
Project Committees (Design Review Committee, Vendor Review Committee, and Audit and Risk Committee)
Ensuring projects go through the project specific interlock process and all artifacts are created in accordance with company guidelines.
Provide portfolio risk management. Ensuring all foreseeable project risks are mitigated before they become problematic.
Communication within the leadership team and employees that occur monthly, such as the Liaison Meetings, Budget Review Meetings, Project Status Review Meetings, etc.
Oversight of the IT Project Program, which includes all active projects as well as all backlog items and pending new ideas. Ensures the sub-processes are followed, up to dated and artifacts are created and stored.
Establishes key performance indicators for IT programs; program manager for the reporting of those KPIs on a scorecard to the leadership team.
Works with various departments to determine the scope, milestones, tasks, risks, assumptions, objectives, and dependencies relating to assigned projects and creates project charters to effectively define and initiate project work.
Assists all organizations within NTT GDC Americas purview with additional technical (IT) project management.
Clearly articulates project goals, deliverables, timelines, etc. to all levels of the organization as well as external resources using standard tools and a repeatable process.
Coordinates and leads necessary meetings with direct reports to ensure all projects under IT portfolio are manage in accordance with set policies and workflows.
Trains, supports, & mentors team members driving a continuous improvement mindset.
Follows up effectively with all levels of the organization and external resources.
Interfaces with vendors and internal departments, as necessary.
Directs and maintains various IT Project Programs, including documentation, connected task relationships, stakeholder updates, multiple project manager alignments, etc. as required.

Proven track record of people management in professional business roles, including career development, performance management and discipline/discharge.
Expert skills in program and project management methodologies, processes, and industry standard tools.
Excellent team and stakeholder leadership skills; proven ability to resolve conflicts within the team while managing to result and deadlines.
Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Able to be highly confidential.
Proficient with computers to include the utilization of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
Ability to relate well at all levels of the organization, building rapport and maintaining collaborative relationships.
Strong analytical skills – ability to calculate and articulate ROI of projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience required.
Plus, a minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience that includes 3-5 years of personnel management experience.
PMP or equivalent Six Sigma certification required and maintained.
Experience with an IT service provider, data center or SaaS preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
Able to hear and speak into a telephone.
Close visual work on a computer terminal.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This position is expected to be remote for the foreseeable future with an occasional need to be onsite in a shared work environment.
Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
Must be comfortable working in a highly critical, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
Some required travel, up to 25%.
Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license
This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.
NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 156,000 - $ 233,000.
All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
