Great Senior Accountant opportunity with growing Reno based company! Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting- direct hire placement of accounting and finance professionals - is recruiting to fill a Senior Accountant level position with a manufacturing company located in Reno. The key aspects of the role will be to:

Oversee the daily accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger

Cash management, including daily bank reconciliations

Maintain organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions

Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and GL accounts

Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other personnel in resolving issues.

Review and approve AP and AR

Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities with Controller

Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting process and procedures

Communicate effectively with customers, field personnel, and internal staff

Assist with audit prep

This is a great opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of good accounting experience to be supporting the Controller. A BS Degree in Accounting is required. Experience in cost accounting is a plus, but not required.

Requirements

• Proficient in MS Excel

• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger

• Experienced in Month End Close

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial reports

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Proven experience of at least 3 years in a similar role

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Knowledge of ERP software is a plus

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
