Pregis LLC Shift Supervisor/3rd/2577/Nevada in Reno, Nevada

This Position is for a Shift Supervisor-3rd Shift with a company loated in Reno Nevada.

 

Job Summuary: Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Shift Supervisor operates and supervises the operation of Pregis Evertec equipment as required by schedule needs. Oversees hourly and temporary employees to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality, performance, customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with Pregis Evertec policies and procedures.

 

The Shift Supervisor has the technical ability to operate and or manage others who operate, all types of Pregis Evertec printing equipment within the Pressroom at a minimum of 100 percent of standards for waste, quality, and productivity. Can set up and operate all special functions and capabilities and can train other employees when required to do so. Analyzes issues, determines, and implements solutions. Provide innovative and creative solutions for opportunities and or improvements. Understands and adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently demonstrates leadership qualities. Directs crews in the efficient operation of the company's machines. Regularly reviews employee's performance and offers critical feedback for improvement. Manages employee payroll systems for their shift. Monitors and manages employee's attendance according to attendance policy

Works with operators who requires assistance during their production shift. Can accurately, quickly, and effectively help the operator solve issues and maintain machine operation at required outputs. Reads and understand all information on job instructions. Ensures that all necessary components to produce the job are present. Can work as a line operator if required by production schedules. Fully understands how to operate press and can effectively set up and operate all inline equipment as well as use machine interface. Demonstrates consistent ability to balance tensions for smooth and consistent machine operations. Can trouble shoot same as well as offer training to operators as required. Helps operators achieve acceptable product within specified M/R standards. Performs necessary functions to keep overall pressroom functioning efficiently. Establishes and promotes an environment for learning and process improvement. Consistently looks for improvements and efficiencies to reduce waste and increase production within set quality standards.

 

Position Type: Full time Shift hours are typically Sunday through Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am. Overtime expected per business requirements.

 

Education and Qualifications: Requires four years of high school and 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible manufacturing related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
