The Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft’s Cloud-first strategy. We are looking for a Finance Manager – Cloud Infrastructure Accounting & Enablement to help shape the future of our cloud infrastructure accounting systems and processes and continue to build the MSIO team.

The team’s charter is to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to build out the end-to end Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure, while optimizing investments and enabling accounting solutions that are scalable and mitigate risk. As a key member of the team, The Finance Manager – Cloud Infrastructure Accounting & Enablement will be responsible for executing the accounting system and process solutions for new initiatives focused on the next generation of Microsoft’s Cloud infrastructure. The Finance Manager – Cloud Infrastructure Accounting & Enablement will be involved with implementing a global, best-in-class supply chain for Cloud spares, influencing the design of systems & processes and providing key insight to business partners. Additionally, the role assists with executing monthly financial close processes related to warranty and maintenance contracts.

The Finance Manager – Cloud Infrastructure Accounting & Enablement will collaborate with Microsoft partners globally, including Finance, Tax, Treasury, Trade, Sourcing and Business Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design, user acceptance testing and documentation business requirements documents, responsibility matrices, Business Flows, etc. of new global supply chain for Cloud spares.

  • Assist with preparation ofstandard operating procedures and onboarding of Finance Operations across different global regions.

  • Work independently and in partnerships with Finance and Sourcing to ensure timely and accurate fiscal close cycles.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, SOX and MS Policy; enable controls to safeguard assets and accurate financial reporting.

  • Assist team in fulfilling auditor requests by collecting and preparing documentation.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous accounting experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Intercompany Accounting, Supply Chain (preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • Proficient analytical, collaboration, and time management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all levels of management.

  • Preliminary understanding of GAAP, Internal Controls, and SOX.

  • Demonstrated experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred) and process improvement experience.

  • Collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, creating effective internal business partnerships.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have excellent attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines.

Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
