Red Gate Group is seeking a talented Sr. DevOps Engineer to join our team supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. As a Sr. DevOps Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role in translating customer requirements and future goals into innovative solutions that support a mission-critical defense IT system. Your leadership will be instrumental in transforming the way our defense client leverages technology, from integrating advanced solutions to modernizing legacy systems. Required Qualifications:
Experience developing custom applications and supporting them in a production environment
5+ years of experience building and supporting DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
3+ years of experience with containerization, building images and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes
2+ years of experience managing tools deployed with Helm using ArgoCD or Flux and writing custom Helm charts
2+ years of experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions
Knowledge of container security technologies with experience evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings
TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications:
Experience developing in Java or Python
Experience with Prometheus/Grafana and/or ElasticSearch/Kibana and FluentD
Experience with design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure
Experience with using or migrating continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline solutions or tools, including Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity
Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby and leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
Knowledge of cloud and virtualization-based technologies, including Docker, Azure, AWS, or VMware
Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation
Knowledge of foundational system administration principles
Knowledge of and experience with classified environment processes and protocols
Kubernetes certification
